So, funny story. My friends Russ and Bekah both asked me to make gifts for each other. I've been secretly making each of them presents from one another and making kitty toys for their kitties. Pretty much, their family kept me very busy this season. :)
This is the hat I made Russ. I came up with the pattern, and I love how it turned out. You can't see how cool the stitches look through the pictures, but I absolutely love them. There is a little skull on each earflap. Russ decided he wanted tassels on it, so I'm going to add them before too long, but I still like the look of it without them too.

Mario Grow Big Mushroom
I'm sure there is a technical name for the mushroom that makes you bigger in the Mario games, but I don't know it. So, here is the grow big mushroom. I made this as a gift for my friend Drew from his wife Andrea. I think this little bugger is one of my favorite things I have made.

Merry Christmas to the meows... Part 2
Here are the other three toys! The acorn is the only one of these three that has a shape. The one with the disks, balls, and bells is a recreation of a rubber and plastic cat toy I saw in the store. I like it with the wood and yarn much better. The other is a string toy made out of very fuzzy yarn. It looks like something that a kitty would like to pounce on.

Merry Christmas to the meows... Part 1
Kitty toys! Merry Christmas to Sylvi and Zach. I still have 3 more to make before tomorrow, but for now, here are the mouse, ball, and jellyfish. They all have bells in them to weight them down and also just because bells are so much fun. I hope the kitties like them!

Fuzzy Ele
Almost the same elephant as the others, but with some adjustments. I made him bigger to accommodate for the fuzzy yarn. The smaller size would have been too busy I think. I also made the trunk much shorter than it asked for and tacked it into the body on the round with a slip stitch. I didn't attach the ears all the way around again. I like it loose much better.

Fuzzy Balls
More fuzzy balls! A friend had me make these for her kids for their stockings. I really like how they turned out. They really are better in person than in pictures. They are fuzzy and soft and I have grand ideas to turn the pattern into little monsters at some point.

Octopus
This was for my friend James, but I plan on making one for my son Cole before Christmas too. The pattern is once again a Lion Brand pattern.

Candy Corn
I gave this to my friend Sarah's baby Emma. I got the pattern here from Lion Brand and just added a little face. Next time, I'm including a bell inside. I think I may make up quite a few of these before next fall. They are small and should be easy to store.
Christmas
The posts on here are going to be scarce for a while. I have a lot of Christmas presents that I am working on, and I don't want to show them off until they have been given out! I will put up my kids' gifts as I get them done though!
Happy Holidays!

Ele for Meagan
I made this one for my buddy Meagan to take to a baby shower. I changed the ears up a bit from Cole's. My favorite change is the blanket stitch I added around the outside of the ear in blue.

Cole's Elephant
This is one of Cole's Christmas presents. I got the pattern from the Lion Brand website. If you crochet or knit I highly recommend signing up on the site. I has a lot of really great free patterns.

Fuzzy Ball
My daughter likes to play catch and since it is too cold to play outside a lot of the time right now, I made her a squishy ball to throw around inside.

Little Owl
I worked up this pattern myself for a friend. I think the little guy turned out pretty good. I may even make one for myself if I ever have a time when I'm not making things for other people.
